Mindful Monday

Something light and frothy for today

Image

Today’s a day to walk not run,

to stop and look and really see.

To touch the wind, caress the sun,

don’t turn and look for me.

Birds wear their feathers modestly,

each tree a blessing robed in green.

Dandelions and honey bees,

tread deftly with no want to preen.

As light falls gently on your skin,

slow your breath, lay back your head.

Now close your eyes and feel the quiet,

all worries drift, each tension shed.

This morning’s new and gifts to you,

to simply BE, this is your chance.

Each mindful step – take one by one,

a song . . . a smile . . . a dance.
